What To Expect In Store

Gather up any and all your CLEAN and DRY containers from home and come on in.

How does it work?
We have developed the C.A.R.E. system to make your shopping experience simple and enjoyable.
C - Clean & Dry Containers: bring anything you already have at home! Glass jars,
Tupperware, cloth bags, bottles, Growlers, milk jugs, beeswax wraps - you name it!
A - Add the tare weight: weigh your containers at the scales provided and write
the tare weight on each container with the wax pencils and pens provided.
R - Refill: fill your containers with as much as little as you like! When you bring your
containers to the til we will deduct the tare weight so you only pay for what is inside.
E - Enjoy: revel in the JOY of having bought all your groceries without any new single-use packaging!

Forgot your containers?
Don't fret!! We have plenty of options for you! From affordable mason jars and stainless steel containers to paper bags. Or better yet, take advantage or our "Take a jar, Leave a jar" basket!! We have a daily assortment of containers that are cleaned and sanitized in-house for you to use, for FREE!! Just make sure to bring a few clean containers back from your recycling bin next time you are in. Circular economy at it's best!

PRODUCE

Fresh and local produce from the Island and lower mainland will arrive weekly. We provide all the staples for your family, as well as as many of the tropical fruits and veggies you have come to love and rely on. Our meat is being supplied to us from Berryman Butchers. Berryman Brothers Butcheries is a local, environmentally sustainable Victoria based butcher. The Berryman’s raise livestock to ensure your family has meat that is ethically pasture-raised, and free of any antibiotics and hormones.

Tofu - Green Cuisine

Vegan Protein - We will be carrying a full line of products from The Very Good Butcher. Package free, of course!

We are so happy to be able to provide the following:

Almond mylk - made fresh in house: Organic Almonds, Organic dates, VI Sea salt, filtered water.
Oat mylk - made fresh in house twice a week. Organic rolled oats, organic dates, VI Sea salt, filtered water

DAIRY

We also have fresh Organic Avalon Milk in glass bottles, the same way you know and love already. Bottle deposit and exchange as per standard practice will apply.

Cheese - Cheddar and Feta Cheese

Yogurt - We are over the moon about this one!! Local yogurt in bulk from the wonderful folks at Tree Island Yogurt

Greek yogurt

DRY BULK - in gravity and scoop bins, both organic and regular

Flour - We carry over a dozen different flours. Gluten fee, organic, and traditional are available.

Rice- Long, short, wild, ethnic and white.

Oats - Both, quick and steel cut oats.

Grains - Barley, Quinoa, popcorn, and more.

Beans and Lentils - over 15 varieties available.

Seeds - Chia, Hemp, Flax, Sesame, Pumpkin and Sunflower.

Nuts - All the staples and then some, over 12 varieties.

Dried Fruit - 20 varieties to choose from.

Pastas - fresh, dried and frozen available from LaPasta.

Baking - over 25 staples available.

Coffee - Fresh, unpackaged beans from Level Ground and Fernwood. In store grinder available.

Tea- Too many to list, come in and see.

Spices - Lots! And they are all Organic

Cashew Butter - Available in bulk

ZWE Seed Butter - Made fresh in house!

Holy Homous - Delicious garlic-ky goodness! Made right here in Victoria and packed with protein, antioxidants, and Omega-3 oils.

Salsa - locally made by Old Soul Jam Co. with delicious local ingredients

PERSONAL CARE

Our refillable, natural personal care products come from ONEKA. They are made with certified organic and wild harvested herbal extracts to nourish the hair and body without the use of sulphates, parabens, or synthetic fragrances. Vegan, gluten free, cruelty free. Scented and unscented.

Toothpaste - Nelson Naturals Mineralized Toothpaste and Crush&Brush tablets. Re-fills available.

Deodorants - Whiffcraft Naturals in refillable metal tins and in bulk, Glowing Orchid Organics deodorant in compostable paper tubes. Dom's natural deodorant.

We will also carry soap bars, shampoo bars, shave bars, and deodorant from local manufacturers.

Cosmetics & Skin Care

Foster Skincare - a variety of skin care products to make you glow. Refillable face washes and oils made with local, natural, and non-toxic ingredients.
